My Moon Box is an Australian brand offering curated self-care products for women during their menstrual cycle. The brand came to the project with a clear vision and a finished design, and needed a team to turn that design into a working Shopify store.
My Moon Box worked with SPLIT Development — a boutique Shopify agency for beauty, cosmetics, and DTC brands, based in Tallinn, Estonia and Sacramento, CA — to build the storefront on Shopify. The UI/UX was designed by the client’s team in Figma, with an initial prototype in Webflow. SPLITS’s task was to implement that design in Shopify, on top of an existing Shopify 2.0 theme, with subscriptions, product customization, and third-party app integrations.
The client owned the design; the work was to make it function as a real store. That meant adapting a design built outside Shopify to Shopify’s structure, keeping it responsive across devices, and holding brand consistency — while standing up the subscription model the business runs on. Mobile experience and user-friendly navigation were explicit priorities.
Design implementation in Shopify. SPLIT implemented the client’s Figma design in Shopify on top of an existing Shopify 2.0 theme, using Liquid and CSS to match the intended aesthetics and keep the layout responsive across devices.
Subscriptions with recurring billing. For a subscription-based business, SPLIT set up recurring billing and automated order processing so repeat orders run without manual handling.
Product personalization. The store lets customers customize and tailor their purchases, supporting the brand’s curated-box model.
Third-party marketing and analytics apps. SPLIT integrated third-party marketing and analytics apps to support the brand’s campaigns and reporting, configuring each to fit the store.
Responsive, mobile-first build. Navigation and layout were built for the mobile shopping experience, which the client prioritized.
Tech stack: Shopify (Online Store 2.0), Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, SCSS and JavaScript, with the design handed off from Figma, plus store migration and audit work.
The launch gave My Moon Box a working Shopify storefront that presents its specialized products and supports customer engagement. The client reported that the intuitive interface and navigation helped conversion and customer satisfaction, and that the subscription setup brought in recurring revenue that supports ongoing growth.
