About the Project

Jung is an Oxford-based brand in longevity and preventative health, with a product line built around innovation and design. The brand came to the project with a ready-made design and wanted a Shopify store to match it, with a smooth shopping experience for its customers.

Jung worked with Split Development — a boutique Shopify agency for beauty, cosmetics, and DTC brands, based in Tallinn, Estonia and Sacramento, CA — to turn its design into a fully functional Shopify site, optimize it for speed, and build a set of commerce features: one-time purchases, subscriptions, and a referral/bonus system.

The Core Challenge

Building a scalable custom Shopify store for a high-demand longevity brand

Jung needed more than a standard Shopify theme could do: subscriptions, a referral system, a way to manage demand, and fast performance under high traffic. The store also had to stay easy for the Jung team to manage and scale as the business grew. Split built it as a fully custom development to cover all of that.

Development Solutions

Fully custom Shopify development. A standard theme couldn’t cover Jung’s requirements, so Split built the store as a fully custom development, tailoring each part of the site and giving the Jung team full control over content management for updates and scaling.

Waitlist with daily quota. To manage high demand and product exclusivity, Split built a waitlist that limits purchases to a daily quota through a special access code, controlling how many customers can buy each day.

Subscriptions. A subscription model lets customers sign up for regular deliveries of the products they buy repeatedly. 

Referral / bonus system. A referral and bonus system rewards existing customers for bringing in new buyers, supporting loyalty and customer-base growth.

One-time purchases and performance. Alongside subscriptions, the store supports one-time purchases. Split used advanced caching and optimized code to keep loading times fast, including under high traffic.

Tech stack: Shopify with fully custom development, advanced caching, and performance-optimized code. 

Client Result

After launch, Jung had an easier store to run for sales and customer interactions. Fast loading times and the integrated sales and marketing tools supported engagement, and Jung reported an increase in both traffic and sales after launch. The client noted the user experience, the waitlist system, and how easy the site is to manage.
