Corporate WordPress Website for Synergy Capital Group

About the Project

Synergy Capital Group is a capital markets advisory firm based in Edmonton, Alberta. The firm arranges debt financing for corporations, investors and real estate developers across Canada, from construction and bridge loans to CMHC insured financing, working with a network of private and institutional lenders.

The firm came to SPLIT Development for a new corporate website. We handled the financial website design and custom WordPress development in one team, from the first Figma concept to launch. The project ran from December 2025 to February 2026.

The Core Challenge

A website for a financing firm that has to look as precise as its deals

In commercial lending, the website is often the first piece of due diligence a borrower does on an advisor. A developer looking for construction financing or a business owner weighing an acquisition loan judges the firm on how clearly it explains its products and how solid it looks before making the first call.

The site had to present four financing categories and more than twenty loan products in a structure a visitor can scan in seconds. Completed financings needed a visible place as proof of track record. The design had to feel premium and strict at the same time, load fast on any device, and stay easy for the client’s team to manage after launch.

Design and Development Solutions

Financial website design with a restrained visual system

We designed the site in Figma around a clear typographic hierarchy, generous spacing and layouts that put the numbers first. Funding ranges, loan-to-value and loan-to-cost ratios on featured financings, and the CMHC product overview are presented as structured content a visitor can compare at a glance.

Custom WordPress theme development on native Gutenberg blocks

Dropping heavy page builders was a deliberate decision from the start. The site runs on a custom WordPress theme, and every layout is built from a set of custom Gutenberg blocks written for the native editor. The blocks follow the firm’s corporate style, so the team can assemble new pages and update service categories, financing products and deal cards in the same visual language.

On the front end this gives clean semantic HTML. In the admin it gives content managers an editing interface they understand without a developer, with fewer third-party plugins to maintain and secure.

Premium motion with GSAP

A financing firm’s site should feel confident and current. We integrated GSAP (GreenSock) for scroll-driven animations, content reveals, micro-interactions and responsive transitions. Every animation was tuned to render smoothly without frame rate drops, so the motion supports the content and never slows the page down.

Mobile layout controls inside the editor

Dense financial content that reads well on a desktop often needs a different arrangement on a phone. We built a custom Gutenberg extension that adds mobile controls to the WordPress admin. Editors can adjust spacing, hide heavy blocks or change the order of blocks for mobile visitors only, without touching code.

Mobile carousels and sliders run on Keen-slider, a lightweight library that keeps swipes native and responsive on touch devices.

A modern build pipeline with Vite

The theme is built with Vite. We set up code splitting for SCSS and JavaScript, so styles and scripts load dynamically only for the blocks present on the current page. This keeps the initial CSS and JS payload small, which supports strong Google PageSpeed Insights results and a fast response for visitors anywhere.

Client Result

Synergy Capital Group launched with a corporate website that matches the discipline of a financial institution and uses a modern technical stack under the hood. The full financing offer, completed deals and CMHC programs are presented in one consistent structure across desktop and mobile.

The client’s team manages pages through native Gutenberg blocks and controls the mobile layout directly from the admin, with no page builder and no developer needed for routine updates.

FAQ

Yes. Synergy Capital Group is a Canadian capital markets advisory firm that arranges debt financing for corporations, investors and developers. We designed and built its corporate WordPress site, including structured service pages for more than twenty financing products and a featured financings section.

Yes, and it is our default for corporate sites. The Synergy Capital Group site runs on a custom theme with custom native Gutenberg blocks and no Elementor or similar builder. The result is cleaner code, faster pages and fewer plugins to maintain.

Custom Gutenberg blocks are reusable page components built for the native WordPress editor and styled to a brand’s design system. They let a content team assemble new pages without a developer while keeping the front end fast and the markup clean.

Yes. Once the block library exists, editors build and update pages in the standard WordPress admin. On the Synergy Capital Group project the team also controls mobile spacing, block visibility and block order from the editor.

We build a custom Gutenberg extension that adds mobile settings to each block in the admin. Editors can change spacing, hide heavy blocks or reorder content for phones only, which matters for content-dense sites such as financial services.

Not when they are built carefully. We use GSAP for smooth scroll-driven animations and Vite code splitting, so animation scripts and styles load only on pages that actually use them.

Yes. UX/UI design in Figma and WordPress development sit in one team at SPLIT Development. For Synergy Capital Group we took the project from the first design concept to a launched site in about three months.

Yes. We deliver from Tallinn, Estonia and Sacramento, CA, covering EU, UK and North American timezones.
